Buddhism
A Practical Guide to Happiness

Buddhism has been referred to as several different things: a philosophy, a religion, a prescription for better living. It has been said that Buddhism is not really a religion as no deity is worshiped.
In fact many people of various established religious beliefs also incorporate The Buddha’s teachings as a way to live a better life, based on love and compassion; not doing any harm to any other beings; living a happier, more peaceful life. A life less cluttered with harmful stressful thoughts and unnecessary pain and frustrations.
Through a seven year process of ascetic practices, self introspection and meditation, Siddhartha Gautama (The Buddha), gained enlightenment and subsequently went on to teach others a system of wisdom, ethical practices and mental disciplines developing their abilities to let go of suffering and live a happier life, focusing on kindness, love and compassion.
If you’re new to Buddhism, it’s suggested that you start by watching The Life of Buddha. Watching this well done video will help the understanding of the other information found in Buddhism.
